Hello dear horrorists, geeks and otherworldlies. This time, I have some updates from the upcoming Finnish troll horror pic Backwood Madness. First of all, it’s a wrap! The highly anticipated movie, directed by Ari Savonen, is currently in post production, gathering some magical troll dust. The premiere date won’t be announced until May in Cannes, but the film will be seen at a few relevant festivals during the summer.
Meanwhile, let’s feast on these amazing shots they’ve recently published.
The filmmakers wish to advise people to take part in KauhuCon, where a new trailer and some sneak peek material will be shown. KauhuCon is held in the old and atmospheric Rikhardinkatu Library in Helsinki on the 1st and 2nd of April.
Two other horror pics, Kyrsyä and Hypnos will also be present and loads of interesting discussion about the contemporary state of horror in Finland. Daem, I just might have to attend myself.
