Almost 8 years ago, I wrote about an exciting new troll horror movie, Backwood Madness, finishing shooting and entering post-production. But I never could have imagined we’d still be here, 8 years later, without a finished movie.
So, it would be an underestimation to say I’ve been waiting for this one. But such is filmmaking – the ultimate coproduced art. When life comes into play, projects get postponed, and timelines stretch. Yet, I must admit, I never forgot this one. There’s a lot of uniqueness about the film, which made it highly anticipated even before shooting began.
The film’s director, Ari Savonen, is a highly skilled gore and makeup effects designer. This obviously sets strong visual expectations for the film. Storywise, I love the fact that it brings trolls and goblins to life, creating a storyline from their confrontation. Finally, the wait is almost over—check out the film’s new teaser trailer below:
