Are you into snow horror and 80’s creatures? If so, then this one’s definitely for you. The Creeps is an action-horror-comedy film currently being shot in Finland’s wintery Kuusamo, starring the legendary Christopher Lambert (Highlander), Chris Cavalier (Hidden Figures) and Iiro Panula (Bordertown).
The film is directed by Marko Mäkilaakso (Bordertown, War of the Dead, It Came From The Desert) and produced by Miika J. Norvanto of Black Lion Pictures and Timo Puustinen of Frozen Flame Pictures.
The Creeps tells the story of two American youngsters who prepare to celebrate Monsterfest in a Finnish ski resort that gets overrun by small creatures. “The Creeps will be a straight-down-the-pipe fun popcorn movie”, Mäkilaakso said on Screendaily’s interview.
Monsterfest, creatures and popcorn. Yes, please!
We can assume the specific ski resort used for the movie is Ruka, which is located nearby in Kuusamo. However, I can’t say much about the actual creatures, what they look like or what they are, other than they will be designed by Disney veteran Barry Atkinson (The Lion King, The Land Before Time).
